Mysore-style practice is the traditional way in which the ashtanga yoga primary series is taught in Mysore, India.
Rather than being led by an instructor's voice for the duration of the practice, students are empowered to move with their own breath and work at their own pace.
Students are taught the primary series, pose by pose, and commit the sequence to memory over time, with the help of a cheat sheet nearby! An experienced teacher moves about the room offering hands on adjustments and alignment instructions/modifications geared to the individual student.
When you arrive at the studio for class make sure you have paid for class either at the front desk, online or have classes currently on your account. Upon coming in the practice room, make sure you sign your name on the sign in sheet at front of the practice room. If you have injuries or questions about your practice, or wondering how to more forward in your practice these can all be addressed with the Mysore teacher.
Practice is Monday - Friday | 5:30am-8am | With Anna Muzzin
Come anytime from 5:30am onwards, practice must be completed by 8:00am.
Mysore practice is additional to the studio membership.
