Robin Lamarr is a yoga and pilates instructor, thai massage practitioner and eager student of diverse movement practices. She began her yoga journey in 2005, quickly becoming a dedicated student at Downward Dog Yoga Centre, under the guidance of Diane Bruni, Ron Reid, Amica Hilton, Sheldon Shannon and David Bruni. In 2013, Robin completed Downward Dog’s 250hr Teacher Training and immediately started teaching regularly at various studios in Toronto. Since then, she has completed over 700hrs in continuing education training, including Yoga Detour’s comprehensive approach to building a safe, strong and sustainable movement practice - created by Cecily Milne and Kathryn Bruni-Young, Michael Stone's Breathing the Body into Stillness - his approach to intersecting yoga asana with sitting meditation, as well as MISFITMETHOD Teacher Training’s unique blend of yoga, pilates and dance - created by Amber Joliat.
Robin’s thoughtfully sequenced classes are driven by music. Her approach is multifaceted, accessible, yet challenging. Robin is committed to exploring various ways to share mindful movement, endeavouring to make the journey into self graceful, insightful and playful.
Lauren’s passion for the practice continues to grow with the study of Ayurveda, which is the art of finding harmony in all relationships, first with the self, then with others, and the universe. She encourages her students to continue their practice off the mat - to practice connection to the breath and awareness of the body and mind on our mats, to then be able to step into our roles and relationships more connected and aware, at home, work and in the community.
