Wanting to deepen her own practice, Annelie completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training through Soma Yoga Institute in 2017. Annelie believes that with dedication, mindfulness, and commitment, one’s yoga practice will only grow deeper on and off the mat. To Annelie, the practice of yoga is creating space, mindfulness, contentment, and body awareness, through asana and meditation. Yoga is not confined within the four corners of the mat, but transcends into every day life. As a teacher, Annelie aspires to help others strengthen their own body awareness, and create a deeper connection between ones’ mind, body, and soul.
Annelie’s favourite pose is Vrschikasana Pincha Mayurasana (Scorpion Forearm Stand), for this counterbalance demands strength, concentration, and flexibility, and is the essence of strength mixed with vulnerability.
