Yin Yang | Hot | I

This class is taught by:

Lauren Speziale

Lauren’s passion for yoga centres around the practice of awareness, self-inquiry and interoception. It is through this ongoing practice that the relationship with the self is strengthened. Through Yin Yang yoga, Lauren helps her students to find a balance in their practice that involves work, effort and growth, with being receptive, passive and grounded, bringing more harmony into their lives.
Lauren practiced yoga through both of her pregnancies and experienced many of the benefits yoga has to offer while carrying her babies and preparing for their births. She was so grateful for yoga during these times, that it ignited her excitement to share the gift of yoga with others!

Lauren’s passion for the practice continues to grow with the study of Ayurveda, which is the art of finding harmony in all relationships, first with the self, then with others, and the universe. She encourages her students to continue their practice off the mat - to practice connection to the breath and awareness of the body and mind on our mats, to then be able to step into our roles and relationships more connected and aware, at home, work and in the community.

Chris Nguyen

Chris is a yoga and Pilates teacher. Curiosity is what brought Chris into his first yoga class. That curiosity marked the beginning of an ongoing journey and passion for the practice of yoga and a profound desire to deepen that relationship.

Chris completed De La Sol's 200 hour YTT and is currently studying the Ashtanga Yoga method. With persistence and dedication, one's yoga practice can only strengthen and grow deeper. In 2015, Chris embarked on two separate trip to Mysore, India to study with R.Sharath Jois and Saraswathi Rangaswamy at KPJAYI (Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute), the source of Ashtanga yoga. In 2018, Chris completed his fourth trip studying at the Shala with Paramaguru Sharath Jois. Chris is a certified Functional Range Conditioning Movement Specialist (FRCms) under Dr. Andreo Spina and continues to work with Head FRC & Kinstretch Master Instructor, Dana John Heimbecker. In 2018, Chris completed the Kinstretch Instructor training in the Functional Range Systems under Dewey Neilson and is currently completing the certification. He is also studying the art of hand balancing under renown circus performer and coach, Nicolas Montes de Oca and handbalance legend, Yury Bozyan. Chris is also a second degree Reiki practitioner.

In 2017, Chris completed the Yoga Tune Up Level 1 Teacher Training created by Jill Miller.

To Chris, yoga is not something to "excel" at but rather about cultivating contentment, compassion, mindfulness, self acceptance and bringing awareness into the body. Yoga has transformed his life on and off the mat. As a teacher, he aspires to help others find a santosha (contentment) and a deeper connection to themselves.

One of Chris' favourite poses is urdhva dhanurasana (upward bow pose). The feeling of opening up to endless possibilities can be quite addicting.

Trish Dingman

Movement, theatre, poetry and music mold Trish’s world; working professionally as an actor in stage, film and television, since age 12. Drawing from her 9 years of teaching, over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training and her creative background as a classically trained actor, Trish is creating something new and exciting on the mat.
In 1999 Trish began practicing yoga while attending the theatre-acting conservatory, at Ryerson University. She fell in LOVE with yoga in 2006, when she used it to help heal herself from addiction and depression.
Since then, Trish has studied asana, philosophy (both tantric and classical), anatomy, therapeutics, meditation and pranayama with some of the world's most inspiring teachers, including Ana Forrest, Noah Maze, Seane Corn, Martin Kirk, John Friend, Christopher Hareesh Wallis and Baron Baptiste.
Trish's teaching style is unique, fluid and energetic! She weaves story telling, poetry, music, dance and theatre into her asana classes. She is never short on laughs and lends kind healing hands to her students.
Trish's mission is love through creativity and authenticity. Her mantra is: "Find out what makes you special and share it with the world!"

Jessica Scott

Jessica is a graduate of the De La Sol teacher training program and teaches a fun and challenging flow style class. Her focus is on linking mindful movement to breath and setting intentions that help carry the benefits of your yoga practice off the mat!
A popular style of practice where the first half of the class is vigorous (a level 1 flow) and the second half is passive and restorative.
